There is no fee for any of our services. We're simply here to help you with pensions.

Pension Wise

Pension Wise is the Government's free, impartial retirement guidance service that's open to everyone seeking information about how they can turn their pension savings into a retirement income. 

Pension Wise can help you is you:

  • are aged 50 or over
  • have a personal or workplace pension
  • want to make sense of your options

Pension Wise offers free appointments. Your appointment will last around 45 to 60 minutes and they will:

  • explain your pension options
  • explain how each option is taxed
  • give you next steps to take

Your appointment can take place somewhere local to you or on the phone.

Moneywise

Raven's Moneywise team offers free, confidential, money and benefit advice to our residents.

You could:

  • check what benefits you are entitled to
    (or try Turn2Us's benefit checker www.turn2us.org.uk/Find-Benefits-Grants)
  • apply for benefits or appeal against benefit decisions
  • apply for grants - including grants to help pay utility bills
  • get budgeting advice
  • get help opening a bank account
  • be referred to other organisations that can help you, such as the CAB for debt advice

We can help you make the most of your income and  tackle debt. The Citizens advice Bureau also provides us with a debt adviser who can help you.  This service is completely free and confidential - you can contact the CAB adviser directly on 01737 778383 or via Raven. 

Moneywise offers drop in sessions at the times/locations below. If you want some advice about managing your money, why not pop in?

Society of Later Life Advisers (SOLLA)

SOLLA helps people and their families in finding a trusted accredited financial advisers who understand financial needs in later life. A well-qualified financial adviser who is also somebody who understands the plans you need to make for your retirement years. 

The complexities of the many decisions you or your family may need to face when looking at issues such as care funding matters or whether equity release is the right thing for you, need careful and considered advice. Financial advice should help you to make clear and informed decisions knowing that you have had the information and choices presented to you in a way that helps you make the best choices and decisions for you or a family member. 

SOLLA helps you to find and adviser who is local and can help you explore what would work for you and where they are involved, your family too.
